You’re Not Alone! Most Women Want Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic surgery is more popular than ever before! In fact, in a recent survey, most women expressed a level of interest in cosmetic surgery, liposuction, or both. Additionally, more than one-third of men expressed some degree of interest as well! The findings even surprised the researchers at UCLA where the survey was conducted.
The researchers did not anticipate that there was such a widespread desire for cosmetic surgery or interest in procedures from people that reported already having a good body image. Additionally, cosmetic surgery appeared to be an interest of women across the lifespan. In a survey of 52,000 people between the ages of 18 and 65, 48% of women stated they would be interested in cosmetic surgery, liposuction, or both. Seventeen percent of women indicated they would be somewhat interested. For men, 23% were interested and 17% expressed possible interest. Cosmetic surgery is not just for the celebrities anymore, it looks like more and more people are interested in improving their appearance than ever before!
